   Some time ago I purchased a CUDA MAXX with a 5.5” D2 bayonet serrated blade from AG Russell. This was when the knife 1st came out. It served me almost daily.

   Last week the thumb stud backed out and was lost. I e-mailed Darrel Ralph Designs and within one week, I received a new thumb stud and yet no bill!

   As we know, Camillus is no more, yet DDR provided free service for this knife! I am both amazed and thankful to Darrel Ralph.

   It looks like I will have a good weekend after all since the mail lady just delivered my V8 Proto Balisong. I flipped it a little and it seems to work great as I figured it would. I am sure you looked it over so you won't see it again. This is a nice solid knife and since there is no play in the pivot it is a very solid sounding knife I can even flip it while others are watching TV and not disturb them its so quite. I think this will be a very popular one even more so than your other models. If the weight and handle design is the same in the other V8's because from talking to some others mine weighs more than theirs does by about 1 1/2 oz mine is almost 5oz and that's perfect to me and along with the handle shape and thickness its about as good as it gets. I was just wondering what oil to use on the pivots I have Tri-Flow and White Lighting on hand and I would lean towards the Tri- Flow I have used it in the other Butterfly knife I had and it seems to be OK but if you have something better I will pick up that. I want to thank you for being patient with me and not making me wait very long to fix the knife up.
