The MADD MAXX II
I am constantly striving to improve my designs and the updates to this knife make it the finest titanium-framed folder in the world.

I originally named this knife to capture the wild-eyed, dangerous look of Mad Max, who inspired the legendary “Road Warrior” and “Mad Max” films, and you’ll find the same power and fury in this knife in a new sleek, sophisticated design.

I built a strong titanium frame and domed and rounded (3D) it for optimal comfort in your hand. I have designed exclusive new “grippers” and hidden them throughout the frame of the new MADD MAXX II series. They remain virtually undetectable until a situation arises when they are needed, and when that happens they function to dramatically improve the grip in your hand. You can’t see them very well in the photos, and that is by design, but when you need them you can count on them to be there.

I simplified the new design to ground this knife in the pure functionality of a concealed self-defense weapon. I left no pointy edges or square corners on this knife and there is nothing there to snag on a pocket seam, shirttail, or belt loop when drawn out in a hurry. When you do open it, the double-ground dagger blade swings out to lock tightly into a powerful frame lock. With the integral double guard, this knife converts from a pocket piece to a weapon in an instant.

Police and military combat professionals report to me that the MADD MAXX is the simply the best manual folder they have ever used. Now you can have it in an semi automatic version, too.

ROBO MAXX with ROBO POWER SYSTEM®

The MADD MAXX II is now available in a power-assisted version, utilizing the Robo Power System® developed by Bill Taylor. Camillus Cutlery offers the Robo Power System in production versions of many of my designs because of this knife.

The ROBO MAXX has no buttons or activation switches and is visually indistinguishable from the manual version. You flip it open manually by the guard or thumb stud, and at the point it is opened only 30 degrees the Robo Power spring kicks in to drive the blade open in a snap.

The ROBO MAXX is the semi switchblade you have been looking for. It is lightning-quick, and because it is technically and demonstrably “manually operated,” it is a legally-carried knife in most states. Not bad for a semi switchblade!

2. Full double ground dagger blades with a false edge on top are available along with the bayonet style grinds that I use currently.
