The 18-XRAYII® was developed to ensure soldiers and LEOs can deploy their knife in a manner faster and safer than a conventional safety style switchblade. Most other safety designs require two separate movements to open or close the knife and to engage or release the safety. The 18-XRAY's safety and opening system is combined into a single button mechanism that allows blade opening, closing and a set safety position all in one fluid motion.The automatic locking action of the SAS prevents the blade from accidentally opening in your pocket or closing on your hand.
